Panvelle Classics

Panvelle - a world wide application After many years of intensive research and development, Panaz launched their revolutionary Panvelle fabric collections. Manufactured to provide a unique answer for the provision of upholstery for extreme environments. Panvelle is designed as a primary upholstery fabric that delivers the answer to water penetration, soiling, wear and flame retardancy, whilst retaining a soft warm textile handle. Featuring unique inbuilt characteristics such as waterproof but breathable; flame retardant; anti-microbial/anti-fungal; high 60,000 rub resistance to abrasion and high colourfastness to light and rubbing. Panvelle upholstery has applications in many environments including hospitals and care homes.

Spills are spills and can be caused by messy kids of all ages. However, Panvelle possesses a waterproof membrane that prevents any liquid from passing through the fabric into the foam. This property that was once only associated with vinyl is now available in Panvelle, which has a softer and warmer textile surface. In addition to the waterproof barrier Panvelle has an anti-fungal, and anti-microbial surface that prevents the growth of bacteria, and thus prevents the build up of smells, cross infection and contamination. This is of great benefit to all contract applications, but particularly in homes for the elderly where care is of prime concern, and hospitals where cross infection is such a serious problem.

For heavier soiling, use liquid soap and warm water ensuring that cleaning product residues are removed as this inhibits the stain repellent. Customer Care Information
It is important to clean and care for the fabric on a regular basis to maintain its condition and appearance. Most stains can be removed by wiping clean. The new generation of microfibre cleaning cloths are extremely effective without soap for general care and maintenance. Vacuum and wipe clean regularly with a damp cloth such as specified above and water to remove dust particles and prevent build up of grime. Remove spillages immediately with an absorbent dry cloth. For heavier soiling, use liquid soap and warm water ensuring that cleaning product residues are removed as this inhibits the stain repellent. Bodily fluids should be removed immediately with cold water and then cleaned as above. Water and oil based stains may be removed by using most water based proprietary spray cleaning agents, following instructions carefully. More stubborn stains may require a safe solvent such as isopropyl alcohol or mineral spirit. Extreme soiling may be cleanable with a sodium hypochlorite (bleach) solution diluted 10 parts water/1 part bleach. Do not machine wash or dry clean.
