The Furnishing Industry Trust depend on the generosity of companies and individuals within the UK Furnishing Industry to raise the necessary funds to enable it to provide financial assistance to people who have worked in the industry and who are struggling to make ends meet.
With this in mind our aim was to help raise awareness about the trust to all attending the event and who crossed our path, and to encourage companies to sign up and become corporate supporters.
Supported on the first day by Jan Turner from AKA PR, Chief Executive Charles Kerrigan, and other members of the FIT Trust, we managed between us to cover hundreds of event attendees in FIT stickers which helped to advertise the brand on FIT launch day. The launch was a success and many people packed the lecture hall to see Tony introduce the new brand. It was great to be part of such a significant day in the Trust's long history.
The new Panaz FIT panel look forward to the next FIT fundraising challenge.
Good news, Panaz upholstery fabrics can be effectively and quickly cleaned by using the new generation of microfibre cleaning cloths and water alone.
Microfibre Cleaning Cloths
Most upholsterers know that when cleaning upholstery fabric it is essential to remove all soap residues as these impede the performance of the stain repellent and, long term, perpetuate the need for further scrubbing and cleaning.
The good news is that Panaz upholstery fabrics can be effectively and quickly cleaned by using the new generation of microfibre cleaning cloths and water alone.
Panaz recently commissioned tests on Panvelle and Panatex comparing the performance of soap and water with standard clothes with microfibre cloths and water alone. The performance of the latter was remarkable and we recommend their use, without soap, to effectively clean and care for our upholstery fabrics on chairs and sofas. If a more heavy duty cleaning regime is required, then use the cloths with soap for exceptional cleaning. Please do note however, as previously stated, that soap residues must be removed.
Ashmere Care Group were looking for fabrics that gave a homely appeal, were of a high standard with choices of fabric that kept them ahead of their competition, to keep them looking innovative and design lead in their Homes.
We have 10 Homes across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and are a CQC rated 3star luxury Care Home for the elderly here at Sutton Court therefore image and quality are very important to us when choosing our suppliers. Four months ago we undertook to refurbish our downstairs communal areas. We sent a questionnaire out to all our residents and to their visiting family members asking them what they would like to see and have around the home in terms of fabrics, chairs, pictures etc, so it was important for us to choose fabrics that met their criteria as well as ours.
We have used Panaz in the past and have a very good relationship with them and never had any problems. The fabrics are always here when they say they will be, timescales are acceptable, and the staff in the Sales Office are really helpful over the phone. We chose Panaz again because they offered good choice of products in well presented books that still offered good value. The curtain fabrics have worn very well since installation and wash well at high temperatures. Our upholstery is made up by Shackletons using Panaz panvelle and Brookland and look very contemporary especially in our quiet lounge.
