Forget Me Not Lounge at University Hospital

Julia Flay, Patient Involvement Facilitator at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire had the brief to design a lounge specifically for sufferers of dementia and their families to use that was a home from home.

Disappointed at what designs she found in the marketplace that were NHS specific, she came across our Healthcare catalogue and was impressed with our offer and that all our designs met the laundry protocols and infection control requirements needed for hospital use. Julia chose furniture supplied by Shackletons using Panaz Cadet vinyl and coordinating cushions and curtains from the Vita range. The track and hold backs supplied were anti-ligature. The overall impression? Staff, patients and families are delighted with the look and feel of the room which is a calming and welcoming environment for all who use it.
